I recently received information from an associate of mine, Bill McBeath, which described an upcoming research topic which will be broadcast on November 2 by Chainlink Research, a smaller analyst firm that does some really good work in a variety of supply chain management areas.

The title of this presentation is The Next Generation of Best Practices in Managing Supplier Relationships: Innovations from the World’s Best Run Companies. From my conversations with Bill, some topics covered will include: Outcome Sourcing, Total Cost Sourcing, Managing Supply Risk and E-Sourcing Innovations (my personal favorite).

This could be a good introduction into an alternative source for analyst information and will cover how these advanced practices were put into actual practice, including the challenges, limitations, and results in a 4 part series.
