I find it very interesting that there are ways to be environmentally responsible but actually accomplish corporate goals of cost savings. The natural assumption of most people is to equate “green” policies with higher costs. This is many times not the case, as highlighted again, this time by Fortune Magazine.
The article discusses how Adobe Systems has implemented eco-friendly changes that have earned it the first Platinum Award from the nonprofit U.S. Green Building Council. It does not seem like there are very many times that everyone can be happy with the result of an action. I look forward to more stories like this and have noticed that a lot of these types of win-win scenarios come in the form of energy efficiency and construction as recently highlighted by the Hearst Tower opening in NYC.
