Ariba's ASN is virtually all indirect / catalog related. Sure, there is the old FMKT supplier lists, but these are not open to a general non-paying audience. In contrast, MFG.com is free to buyers and focused on direct materials build-to-print, build-to-order, build-to-specification types of suppliers -- mostly job-shop related to date. A very different type of supply base in both cases!

Ariba Supplier Network claims it has more than 140,000 suppliers. It is a platform for both supplier selection and day-to-day transactions. Are there any special features in MFG.com which is not supported by Ariba?
