Yesterday, we got our feet on the ground with exhibit hall set up and preparation. Not much exciting with regards to the conference, except the lingering questions of why this is not in Las Vegas every year? Almost twice as many attendees and tons of things to do seems like a no-brainer to me. The scale and buzz surrounding this event compared to last year in Minneapolis is not even close.

As is frequently the case, the curiosity is more about those who have decided not to attend the conference, for various reasons. This year again, Verticalnet does not disappoint with a conspicuous lack of participation at the keynote conference for supply management.

All things being equal, Vegas does not disappoint very frequently and if any one came in early, you might have witnessed the Iasta gang at the rowdiest craps table in the whole city. If you were anywhere near us you would have been drawn into the action like a moth to flame and Jason Treida might have found a new profession as a dice shooter!
