Purchasing Magazine is broadcasting their findings from a strategic sourcing study that they collected. It should be an interesting webcast, which will hopefully stand out from the normal droning infomercials that seem to dominate the medium. As described by PM:

A recent in-depth study by Purchasing set out to document the innovation and problem-solving that high-performing strategic sourcing organizations have accomplished over the years. We tested some 65 practices and processes related to strategic sourcing to see which ones are used most frequently among the highest performing sourcing organizations. The results are revealing—and can provide a guide for any purchasing organization that wants to improve its performance and chances for success.
