See you in Amsterdam

No, its not Harold and Kumar III. Today, I am hitting the runway in Holland to attend a Procurement Leaders conference in Damrak. I am really looking forward to this event, as I should be able to speak with numerous practitioners from around Europe. I am curious to hear stories about adoption and best practices from executives that represent some of Europe’s finest sourcing teams. Specifically, I would like to know about usage of advanced sourcing / optimization and contract management. How often are procurement teams utilizing strong analytics, how is contract management being rolled out and adopted?

I already have 5 meetings scheduled during the conference and 3 more set up in Amsterdam and Den Haag. It still amazes me that I can develop relationships from 6 time zones away and make plans to meet with people that I speak and have solutions to their problems.

We have a large European user base and equally large number of blog readers from the region. I am hoping to encounter some of these folks during my time in the Netherlands. If you do plan to attend this conference, or are anywhere near Damrak at the end of the week, drop me a note or stop by for a book. We will have plenty!
