Mendy Werne, President of BLASTmedia, learned from an early age that if you work hard, respect others and can find a good work-life balance, you will be successful in life.
Mendy’s parents always taught her to be the first one in and the last one out; people will notice you when you go the extra mile. She believes that the work-life balance gets easier with age, but if you are happy at work you’ll be happy in life and vice versa.
“In our industry, the work is never done,” Mendy said. “There is always more media coverage to secure, more people to reach on social media channels and more clients to help. But, at the end of the day I can rest knowing I did everything I could to move the business forward by helping my clients and employees become successful.”
Her advice to young professionals is to be sponges. Listen to what is going around you and pay attention to the actions of the people / mentors you look up to. In most cases, your actions will always speak louder than your words.
