As we approach the holiday season, our schedules can become busy and chaotic. It’s easy to get bogged down and forget the true meaning of why we celebrate Thanksgiving.
So, in order to energize our hearts and minds, grab some coffee (lots and lots of coffee!) and start counting your blessings! I’ve put together a list of things a procurement pro should be thankful for this holiday season.
1-Technology: Innovative technology helps you overcome the challenges of modern sourcing- making your job easier and more efficient. Without a sourcing solution, you could be wasting valuable time in manual processes. The time saved by using technology allows you to focus on your strategic sourcing and supplier management goals.
2-Team: Regardless of your role in the organization, be thankful for your teammates! If your company values collaboration and support as much as we do at Iasta, a Selectica Company, it’s difficult to imagine doing your job without the other members of your team. Before heading out to celebrate the holiday, take a few minutes to tell your coworkers how much you appreciate them.
3-Resources: In the chaos of the holiday season, you may not have a ton of extra time to read your favorite industry blog, or research best practices. But be thankful those resources are available when you need them in a pinch! You never know when you’ll need to quickly make improvements to a process or project you aren’t familiar with, and could use the extra help.
4-Suppliers: Do you have a supplier that practices sustainability? Or what about a supplier who goes the extra mile to ensure your goods arrive in a timely manner, every time? Be thankful for them! Positive supplier relationships are healthy for your supply chain, and can make your job more efficient and stress-free.
